Jackson Hole

This past race was in Jackson Hole. Chris and I rode up with Keith and Jesse. We made a quick trip out of it because Jesse and I had to be back by Sunday...Thanks Keith and Chris for indulging us.
The Jackson course is one of the most technical ones which caters to Keith who had a great race. There are lots of small bridges over mud patches, rocks, roots, and switchbacks. My bridge experience last year was that they are fun to ride, but hard to race when I am tired, stupid, and can't steer my bike. This year I came off on one a little early having little impact on my momentum. I am either much better or I did not ride nearly as hard. I would like to believe it is the former. This year I was also on the look out for falling trees. Last year a tree fell over the course during the race and I thought I had made a wrong turn. This race was pretty uneventful for me. One of those participating in my category crashed and hurt her collar bone. I wish her a speedy recovery.
This coming weekend, we will veer off the intermountain cup series to participate in the Brian Head Epic. I am excited for 100 miles of off road fun and pain.
