i raced at soldier hallow this weekend. it was a long race and i felt okay. i was a bit disappointed with my results though. i narrowly lost and had some issues.
i tried to be strategic in this race, but it really didn't work for me. i thought that i would just hang for the first little bit and then turn it on the last lap. well, i don't really turn anything on my last lap. i need to make my move early and hope it works out. even though i didn't do as well as i hoped, but atleast i learned something so it was not a complete loss.
i will not be competing in the point blank xc race this weekend. it is supposed to be a whole cycling festival. instead i will be heading down to durango for the iron horse bicycle classic. this road race starts in durango and finishes in silverton. yes, i said road race, but they close the course so i don't have to deal with traffic. i am nervous for the suffering, but it should be fun. i will let ya know though.
