we started off the day riding up payson canyon. Parking at mount loafer we rode up to black hawk, crossed the road and came down the other side. yeah...i am not one of those people who knows the names of all the different trails. I just ride behind the person in front of me. if i do lead i will stop at almost every fork because i usually don't know where i am going. i never really found my rhythm on this ride. i felt akward...not smooth like i had hoped.
at the end of the ride, chris and i did not feel satisfied. so we came home for a bit and then went and rode the ridge trail in american fork canyon. of couse we did call time and temperature first. we have been caught in our share of rain this season already and i did not trust the sunshine outside. i should have more faith though because the weather was perfect. it was definitely cooler up the canyon and cloud cover contributed, but they were big fluffy clouds.
i felt better on my bike up american fork canyon. my descending was smooth and fun again. today it seemed like we climbed much more than we descended. this usually indicates that i am riding more fluid.
the intermountain cup series final is in one week...i am hoping for a ridge type ride...not a black hawk.
